In various hands-on projects, I designed and implemented a secure, multi-subnet enterprise network using VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, firewall rules, and VPN tunnels with Cisco Packet Tracer and pfSense. I set up and configured a Windows Server environment, deploying roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to effectively manage domain-based networks. On the Linux side, I administered Debian servers by creating DNS zones, configuring Samba for file sharing, setting up Apache web services, and automating routine administrative tasks using Bash scripting for user management, system monitoring, and scheduled backups. Additionally, I installed and secured MySQL database servers, created SQL queries, and managed user roles and permissions in accordance with data security best practices. As part of a personal cloud project, I utilized Microsoft Azure’s free-tier services to provision and manage virtual machines and blob storage, gaining experience in scalability, deployment, and resource management in a cloud environment.
